Our Calendar for the second half of 2006 is marked by outstanding events. Alongside these come many cost which need to be covered.

OPENING OF SABR OFFICES AT TRIBA

Between the 20th and 31st of August we will see the opening of SABR offices at Triba. The official opening of Triba is scheduled for September, the date is jet to be decided.

‘ADOPT A BANNER!’

Our web site has been launched. We will put this new addition to the SABR family to good use, and we’ll try our hand at some creative fundraising. ‘Adopt a Banner’ will be our first fund-raising campaign aimed at raising enough funds to cover our new office costs. Banner advertising space has been made available to our sponsors.

Designed with your logo and re-directing to your website, the annual adoption fees will range from R 3500.00 to R5000.00 depending on the position you choose. This will be perceived as a donation and will be a tax benefit to sponsors. Sponsors will have access to all our donor moms (personal details are to remain confidential) and visitors to the website. We are presently linked to the La Leche Legue, Health 24 Breastfeeding Support, and other organisations so as to exchange viewers.

A chat-room is also in the thinking box, offering working and stay at home moms a 24 hour, real time forum, for questions, answers and support. This will further guarantee high volumes of web traffic.

SATELLITE COLLECTION AND DROP OF POINTS

We are opening two satellite (bottle and cap) collection and (breastmilk) drop off points, one in Pretoria and one in Benoni. Two small freezers are needed for the collection and drop of points and plastic packets or containers of the capacity of 30 x 250 ml bottles (roughly the size of a pick-and-pay packet. Our graphic designer will gladly design a sticker featuring the contributors logo along side SABR for R 500.00.

HAMPERS FOR DONOR MOMS

All our donors are remarkable women. Some of our generous moms however do not always have the blessing of a healthy baby and often spend a large portion of the first few months of their baby’s lives in intensive care. They still think about us and about how they can help our children. SABR wants to reward these women for their strength and willingness to give. We are turning to our sponsors for donations of hamper material, so that we can let these moms know we are all thinking of them.

Needless to say moms that donate outstanding quantities of breastmilk also need to be rewarded!
