What goes on at a milk bank?
It's where the action happens: they screen, process and distrubute donated breastmilk (DBM) and make sure that it gets to babies in need either at NICUs on site or at referral hospitals.
The breastmilk is given to vulnerable pre-term infants, babies orphaned through HIV/AIDS and also cases where mothers are unable to provide their own milk.
What is an SABR Corner?
It's a sign-up collection and dispatchment facility that supports an SABR human milk bank in the area. Collection corners are always grateful for volunteer drivers and donors.
